Withdrawing winnings to M-Pesa: what is deducted
- You request a withdrawal on a GRA-licensed betting site.
- The operator deducts 5% withholding tax on the amount paid out and sends the rest to your M-Pesa.
- If you then take cash out at an M-Pesa agent, Safaricom's normal withdrawal charges apply on top. These are Safaricom's fees, not a betting tax.
